The Tennessean has revealed its All‑Midstate team for the first-ever TSSAA girls flag football season, recognizing the league’s top performers across the state.
Celebrating the pioneers
On the offensive side of the ball, the first team features quarterbacks and playmakers such as Brynee Snow of Dickson County, Nicole Cushenberry from West Creek, Emoni Haynes‑Overton of Pearl‑Cohn, Madison Nettles from Blackman, and Caroline Merville of Ravenwood, each of whom made a significant impact during the season.
Defensively, the first team includes standout rushers and linebackers like Avery Brown and Rhea Carthon, both also from Ravenwood, who helped anchor their squads with aggressive play.
Beyond player honors, Ricky Rodriguez of Ravenwood was named Coach of the Year after guiding his team to the Class AA state championship, underscoring the rapid growth of the sport in Tennessee.
