A Defensive Upgrade
Zeke Durham-Campbell, a redshirt senior defensive lineman, has officially joined the West Virginia Mountaineers' roster for the 2026 season, adding a seasoned presence to the defensive line.
During the previous campaign he recorded 5.5 sacks and two pass breakups, earning Third Team All‑Sun Belt honors, a testament to his ability to disrupt opposing offenses.
Coaches believe his size and knack for collapsing the pocket will free up the secondary, which has been a weak spot for the Mountaineers in recent years.
The secondary's struggles have been well documented, and the addition of a player who can generate pressure from the interior is seen as a direct remedy.
With his experience in a competitive conference, Durham-Campbell is projected to see extensive playing time and could become a key factor in the team's defensive scheme.
