A Summer of Opportunity for Young Talent
The Los Angeles Kings will open the doors of their annual Development Camp at the Toyota Sports Performance Center in El Segundo, California, from June 29 through July 2. The four‑day event invites the latest draft picks and a handful of trialists to take part in on‑ice workouts that are free and open to the public.
Under the guidance of the Kings' Player Development Staff, participants will run through daily practices and controlled scrimmages designed to accelerate their transition to the professional game. The camp’s schedule emphasizes skill refinement, tactical awareness and conditioning, all overseen by veteran coaches who have spent years shaping NHL‑ready players.
Adding an extra layer of expertise, guest coaches from Saint Mary’s University, Michigan State University and Dartmouth College will join the staff, bringing collegiate perspectives and fresh strategies to the rink.
Longtime Kings alumni such as Mike Donnelly, Sean O’Donnell, Jarret Stoll, Matt Greene, Jeremy Clark, Bill Ranford, Adam Brown, Tyler Naugler and Brad Fast are slated to take part, offering mentorship drawn from deep franchise history.
All sessions are accessible to fans, providing a rare chance for the Southern California hockey community to watch the next generation of Kings prospects in action.
The camp forms part of the broader National Hockey League’s summer development calendar, underscoring the Kings’ commitment to scouting and player growth.
