A Night of Records and Shutouts
WKU Baseball rolled past Delaware 3-0 on Friday night, snapping a tightly contested series and moving the Hilltoppers to a 29-25 record for the season.
The victory was anchored by Lane Arroyos, who doubled twice and drove in two runs, tying the program’s single-season doubles record with his 24th of the year.
On the mound, Gavin Perry delivered six flawless innings, surrendering only three hits while striking out four, setting the tone for a dominant pitching staff.
Dawson Hall and Mick Uebelhor combined for the final three frames, fanning six batters and sealing the shutout.
Austin Haller added a multi-hit effort, going 2-for-4 with a double and a run, while Reid Howard scored twice to push the offense forward.
The win also marked the 144th victory for the program under coach Marc Rardin, the second-most in any four-year span in school history, and the Hilltoppers will aim to close the series with another triumph on Saturday morning.
