Mississippi University for Women announced the resignation of its women's head soccer coach, Ana Ramos, who will leave on June 30 to pursue career options closer to her home in Arlington, Texas.
Ramos, a native of Arlington, Texas, was hired by MUW in February 2024 after a brief but impactful tenure that began mid‑season.
The Owls compiled a 5‑25‑6 record across the 2024 and 2025 campaigns, reflecting a transitional period for the program.
Recruitment Underway
University officials confirmed that a national search for a replacement is already in progress, with the goal of appointing a new head coach before the next competitive cycle.
The decision to part ways with Ramos was framed as a mutual agreement that allows her to focus on family and professional opportunities nearer to her home.
MUW's athletic director praised Ramos's contributions and expressed confidence that the next leader will build on the foundation laid during her short stint.
