A dominant performance
The Lindenwood baseball squad erupted for a 10-2 victory over Southern Indiana on Friday, evening their weekend series and shifting momentum heading into the final contest.
Lindenwood compiled 13 hits and drove in 10 runs, with multiple contributors stepping up at the plate. Owen Ralph went 3-for-? with an RBI and a run, while Jake Radosevich, Sam Driscoll and Filip Sarota each added two RBIs.
On the mound, starter Seth Benes surrendered two runs on six hits, but reliever Ethan Smith earned the win after 2.1 scoreless innings, and closer Tanner Paschke finished with 2.2 innings of no-hit, no-run baseball.
Key moments came in the third inning when Lindenwood plated four runs, highlighted by a solo home run from Southern Indiana, and later extended the lead to 7-1 in the fourth. The Lions kept the pressure on, loading the bases in the sixth without scoring and adding another run in the eighth.
With the series on the line, the final game is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, promising another chance for the Lions to close out the matchup.
