Ranked No. 6 in the nation by both Baseball America and the National College Baseball Writers Association, the team posted a program‑best 39‑32 record, the third time in five seasons under head coach Skylar Meade that the squad reached the 39‑win plateau. The ranking stands as the highest in Division‑I history for any Troy sport.
The Trojans’ ascent began in Gainesville, where they captured their first regional championship by defeating Rider, Miami and No. 8 Florida twice. The two games at Riddle‑Pace Field drew 6,426 and 7,033 fans respectively, setting new attendance benchmarks for the venue.
Super Regional Triumph in Gainesville
Their regional triumph earned them the distinction of becoming just the eighth No. 3 seed to host a Super Regional, a feat made possible after Little Rock swept the Hattiesburg Regional as the No. 4 seed. Omaha and the First World Series Victory
In Omaha, the Trojans faced a tough battle, dropping two of three games but not before delivering a defining moment: a hard‑fought win over Ole Miss in an elimination contest that marked the program’s first World Series victory.
