A new path to the semifinals
In the men's bracket, the field will be trimmed from eleven to ten teams. The top two seeds will now receive a direct berth into the semifinals, meaning they will need only two victories to claim the conference title. All other teams will have to win at least three games to reach the final, a shift that creates a clearer route for the highest‑seeded programs to advance deep into the tournament.
Simultaneously, the women's tournament will relocate from Evansville to St. Louis, aligning its schedule with the men's championship week.
