Cindy Curley to be Inducted into Hockey Hall of Fame in 2026

Providence College alumna joins pioneering women in hockey's historic class

A Trailblazing Legacy

Cindy Curley, a Providence College women's hockey alumna, will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026, joining an elite group of pioneers who have shaped the sport.

Her collegiate tenure from 1981 to 1985 placed her among the program's all‑time leading scorers, ranking third with 225 career points — 110 goals and 115 assists — and featuring two seasons with more than 60 points.

Curley was a key figure in guiding Providence to its first two ECAC Championship titles in 1984 and 1985, a breakthrough that elevated the Friars onto the national stage.

Internationally, she represented the United States at four Women's World Championships, reaching the semifinals on multiple occasions and earning All‑Tournament Team honors in 1990.

Her distinguished career has also been recognized by the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame (2002) and the Providence College Athletic Hall of Fame (2013), and she became the second woman to be individually inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame that same year.
