The Gregory-Portland Wildcats have named Joe Curiel as their new baseball head coach, tapping a veteran with two decades of experience to lead the program.
A Coach With a Proven Track Record
Curiel arrives with more than 250 career wins and a collection of accolades that include two South Texas Coach of the Year honors. Over his career he has guided teams to five state semifinal appearances and three state final appearances, underscoring his ability to develop competitive programs.
Before joining Gregory-Portland, Curiel spent 16 years at Moody, where he served as both head coach and assistant from 2009 to 2011. In that time he built a foundation of success that earned him lasting gratitude from the school community.
