Summer sports leagues are kicking off across Watertown, New York, as the community embraces a season of competition and recreation.

Jefferson Community College (JCC) serves as the central hub, offering a diverse slate of leagues that include volleyball, women's basketball, a camp led by Matt Gorman, and a boys' basketball circuit coached by Coach Vaadi.

Jeff Wiley, JCC’s Athletic Director, points out that these leagues have been running for about 15‑16 years and currently host 19 teams across the various divisions.

Beyond the regular season, local teams are already making headlines. Earlier this week, Dansville completed a double‑header sweep of the Watertown Rapids, winning 6‑3 before adding a 12‑0 victory in the second game.
