The Santo Domingo native was expected to be a starter in the 2027 season after a promising debut that included 33 at‑bats, three RBIs, four doubles and a .273 batting average as a true freshman.
His exit coincides with a wave of departures from the Mountaineers' roster, as seniors and regular contributors such as Sean Smith, Brodie Kresser and Paul Schoenfeld have announced they will not return for another year.
