The centerpiece of the program is a free ticket registration for the New York State United — 2026 World Cup Watch Experience, scheduled for July 19 at Kensico Dam Plaza in Westchester County.
Doors will open at noon, giving families ample time to explore interactive soccer zones, enjoy live entertainment, and sample food and beverage from local vendors before the 3 p.m. kickoff of the final broadcast.
Community Leaders Weigh In
Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins praised the collaboration, saying the county is proud to host a venue that lets residents feel the excitement of the world’s biggest soccer tournament right on their doorstep.
Empire State Development President Hope Knight highlighted the partnership between state agencies and local partners that made the event possible, noting that such initiatives showcase the power of public‑private cooperation in enriching public life.
Governor Hochul emphasized that the event is part of a broader effort to create community‑focused opportunities that bring people together across the state, turning a global sporting moment into a shared local experience.
