Elon University’s women’s soccer program unveiled its 2026 schedule on Wednesday, outlining a 17‑game regular season that blends non‑conference challenges with a rigorous Colonial Athletic Association slate.
Season Structure and Venues
The schedule features eight home contests at Rudd Field, the team’s traditional base in North Carolina, while the remainder will be played on the road across the East Coast.
The campaign opens on August 13 with a matchup against VCU at Rudd Field, marking the first of three consecutive road games that will test the squad early in the season.
Key Matchups and Early Road Trip
Following the opener, Elon will travel to face South Carolina State, North Carolina State and Davidson in a three‑game stretch, before capping August with a home appearance against High Point.
September brings road tests at VMI and American, then a four‑match homestand beginning September 13 against Charleston Southern, followed by conference opponents Campbell, Stony Brook and Hofstra.
Conference Play and Division Dynamics
Elon will compete in the South Division of the CAA alongside Campbell, Charleston, Hampton, UNCW and William & Mary, while also meeting four North Division rivals — Hofstra, Monmouth, Northeastern and Stony Brook — during the regular season.
All nine conference fixtures count toward the division standings, and the top three teams from each division will advance to the CAA Championship, scheduled for two weekends in early November.
Championship Format and Seeding Rules
During the first championship weekend, the No. 2 seed hosts the No. 3 seed, with the victors advancing to meet the No. 1 seed from their respective divisions. The final match will be staged at the highest remaining seed, and in cases where seeds are identical, the team with the better regular‑season point total will enjoy home‑field advantage.
Elon enters the season as defending champions, having captured its second CAA title last year and earned a second NCAA Tournament berth after a 11‑3‑7 record.
All home games at Rudd Field will be streamed live on FloCollege, giving fans across the country a chance to follow the Phoenix’s push toward another title run.
