Kaylon Bailey, a three‑star linebacker from Glenville High School, is deciding among Ohio State, Louisville, and Colorado as he prepares to announce his college commitment within the next two weeks.
A Glenville Legacy at Ohio State
Since 2002, 26 players from Glenville have followed the path to Ohio State, including standout alumni such as Arvell Reese, who earned All‑American honors as a linebacker, illustrating the program’s deep connection to the school’s alumni.
Bailey has built strong relationships with the Buckeyes’ coaching staff, particularly linebackers coach James Laurinaitis, whose honesty and coaching style have left a lasting impression on the recruit.
He has also observed firsthand how Ohio State develops talent, noting the trajectory of former Glenville product Arvell Reese as a model of player development.
If he chooses Ohio State, Bailey would become the third linebacker in the Buckeyes’ 2027 recruiting class, a prospect that excites defensive coordinator Matt Patricia, who plans to deploy him as a hybrid linebacker/edge rusher.
While Louisville and Colorado remain viable options, Bailey’s affinity for Ohio State’s history and culture continues to shape his final evaluation.
