UC San Diego’s baseball program continues to expand its reach beyond the West Coast, with 14 current and incoming scholar‑athletes participating in collegiate summer ball across the United States and Canada this season.

The group is split among six different leagues, including the prominent West Coast League, and can be found in Alaska, California, North Dakota, Utah, Washington, and British Columbia, Canada, illustrating the geographic diversity of the Tritons’ talent.

A Summer of National Exposure

UC San Diego’s athletics department has recently transitioned to NCAA Division I, a move that has been accompanied by a record of 30 team and nearly 150 individual national championships, a 90 percent graduation rate among scholar‑athletes, and more than 1,400 All‑America honors.

The program’s academic rigor is further reflected in 84 Academic All‑America selections and 38 recipients of the NCAA Post‑Graduate Scholarship, underscoring a culture that values both competition and scholarship.
