Taylor Allen Takes the Helm of Randall Raiders Baseball
Taylor Allen has been hired as the new head baseball coach for Randall High School in Canyon, Texas, stepping into a role that promises a fresh direction for the Raiders program.
With more than ten years of coaching experience, including an 11‑year stint as an assistant at Caprock High School and a recent one‑season tenure as head coach there, Allen brings a deep reservoir of knowledge to the position.
He replaces Brad Propst, who was recruited by Randall in July 2023, and inherits a team eager for stability and growth.
A Decade of Coaching Mastery
Allen’s extensive background spans multiple programs, but his most recent focus has been on mentoring high school athletes in West Texas, where he has cultivated competitive teams and emphasized academic accountability.
His approach blends tactical rigor with personal development, aiming to instill habits that extend beyond the diamond.

Canyon ISD Athletic Director John Peterson expressed confidence that Allen’s background and philosophy make him the ideal fit to lead the Raiders forward.
