A Defensive Boost for the Seminoles
Sam LeJeune, a four‑star defensive lineman from Poplarville, Mississippi, announced his commitment to the Florida State Seminoles on the Noles247 Kolby Crawford YouTube channel. The pledge marks a significant addition to FSU’s 2027 recruiting class, bringing the nation’s No. 119 overall prospect and the No. 11 defensive lineman into the fold.
LeJeune chose the Seminoles over the Washington Huskies and California Golden Bears after a recruitment period that began in 2024, when FSU extended a scholarship offer in September. The player made multiple visits to Tallahassee, including an official trip on June 12, and rose to prominence as the top defensive lineman committed to FSU since Kevin Wynn in the 2025 cycle.
His commitment lifts the Seminoles to 13 total pledges, four of which are along the defensive line, and strengthens a defensive front seven that already boasts seven future contributors. The class now ranks 49th nationally and 13th within the ACC according to 247Sports, positioning FSU as a rising force in the upcoming recruiting landscape.
Beyond the rankings, LeJeune’s arrival is expected to reinforce the depth of the defensive line, a unit that has been a cornerstone of FSU’s recent successes. The coaching staff highlighted his size, technique and pass‑rush ability as qualities that could translate into immediate impact on the field.
