Virginia’s football program wrapped up its spring schedule just over a month ago, marking the end of a busy period of drills, scrimmages and evaluations.
Head coach Tony Elliott took the opportunity to highlight the team’s development, noting improvements in both talent depth and overall execution on the field.
With 16 more practice sessions still scheduled before the team reconvenes for fall camp, the Cavaliers are using the remaining time to fine‑tune position groups and solidify rotations.
A Promising Outlook
The coaching staff has already begun shaping a projected depth chart for the upcoming 2026 season, positioning Beau Pribula as the starter at quarterback.
Behind Pribula, Eli Holstein and Cole Geer are slated to serve as the primary backups, giving the program additional flexibility should injuries or performance shifts arise.
Analysts observing the chart have noted that, despite the offseason moves, the depth chart has remained largely unchanged since February, suggesting a degree of stability in the coaching staff’s plans.
