Bay County High School Football Draws Record Crowds
The upcoming high school football season in Bay County is poised to attract massive audiences, with ticket sales emerging as a vital revenue stream for the district’s athletic programs.
In 2024, the six participating teams collectively sold 39,322 tickets, generating $273,680, a figure that set the baseline for recent growth.
This year, the district reported a jump to 41,619 tickets sold, translating into $288,704 in revenue, underscoring a steady upward trend.
Mosley High School topped the leaderboard, moving 9,595 tickets and bringing in $69,462, marking the second consecutive season at the summit.
Bay High followed with 7,303 tickets and $54,486, climbing from fourth place a year earlier, while Arnold sold 6,915 tickets for $48,003, slipping to third.
North Bay Haven advanced to fourth place after a sixth‑place finish previously, selling 6,638 tickets and earning $42,426, and Bozeman, despite dropping from third, still moved 6,071 tickets for $40,826.
Rutherford rounded out the top six with 5,097 tickets and $33,501, showing gains in both sales and revenue despite its lower ranking.
Financial Impact on School Programs
The increased ticket income directly supports equipment purchases, travel costs and coaching resources, allowing schools to sustain competitive programs without relying solely on district budgets.
Local officials and community leaders view the trend as a sign of growing engagement, with expectations that future seasons will continue to boost attendance and financial health.
