The game opened with a burst of offense from the Schroths, who plated three runs in the opening inning thanks to Jhostin Lorenzo‑Rodriguez and Jeremiah Kelly, but the Hibos answered quickly when Austin Wright sent a fair fly ball to the plate, knotting the score.
Wright was the catalyst for North Hamilton, driving in five runs and delivering a decisive single in the second frame that pushed the lead to 7‑3, a swing that proved pivotal as the game unfolded.
