The final NASCAR race of the regular season will take place at Daytona International Speedway on August 29, and the track will treat fans to a special pre‑race concert headlined by the country‑music duo LOCASH.
Comprised of Preston Brust and Chris Lucas, the duo has been collaborating since 2008 and has built a reputation for blending catchy melodies with authentic storytelling. Their discography includes the chart‑topping single "I Know Somebody" from 2016 and the current hit "Hometown Home" from the album "Bet the Farm," which reached No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart.
Beyond recording, LOCASH operates their own imprint, Galaxy Label Group, giving the artists full creative control over their releases. This entrepreneurial spirit mirrors the high‑octane environment of NASCAR, where strategy and independence often dictate success.
Daytona International Speedway President Frank Kelleher expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that the concert will add extra energy to the season‑ending finale and highlight the natural synergy between NASCAR and country music.
After the performance, the green flag is scheduled to drop at 7:30 p.m., marking the start of the race that will finalize the playoff field and set the stage for the championship chase.
