Golden Knights Fans Transform Toshiba Plaza
A sea of gold spilled onto Toshiba Plaza, the concrete arena outside T‑Mobile Arena turning into a living tribute to the Vegas Golden Knights. Fans clad in glittering jerseys, face paint and elaborate costumes turned the space into a carnival of colour and sound, their chants echoing across the Strip.
At the centre of the gathering, a devotee whose face was fully coated in gold and whose beard sparkled with sequins became an impromptu focal point. He led a call‑and‑response chant that rippled through the crowd, drawing cameras from strangers eager to capture the moment.
The energy was contagious; strangers exchanged high‑fives, debated the series outlook and shared spontaneous high‑fives that felt more like a family reunion than a pre‑game ritual.
Among the throng was a traveler from Raleigh, North Carolina, who had earned the NHL’s Best Fan honour earlier in the season. He praised the locals for making him feel like part of the team, saying the atmosphere was unlike anything he had experienced elsewhere.
One particularly inventive supporter wore a handmade ‘Duck Season’ hunting outfit, complete with toy duck decoys dangling from his belt, a tongue‑in‑cheek nod to the Anaheim Ducks that added a playful edge to the rivalry.
The series stands at 2‑2 after the Golden Knights stole Game 1 and the Ducks answered with a win in Game 2. With Game 5 scheduled for Tuesday, May 12 at T‑Mobile Arena, the stage is set for another electric night.
