Florida Gators Unveil 2026‑27 SEC Basketball Schedule

A demanding slate of conference and non‑conference matchups sets the stage for another championship run

The Southeastern Conference unveiled its 2026‑27 men’s basketball slate on June 25, sending a wave of anticipation through Gator fans across Florida.

Florida’s rotational partner this year will be Texas, meeting the Longhorns in a home‑and‑away series that promises two tightly contested matchups.

In addition to the Texas series, the Gators will face their traditional SEC foes on a rotating basis, with home games against Kentucky, Ole Miss, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt, while traveling to Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State and Tennessee.

Non‑conference road trips and tournament play

The season opens on Nov. 2 at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, where the Gators will host Miami in front of a home crowd. A week later, Florida heads to Las Vegas for the Players Era tournament, opening against Notre Dame on Nov. 17 and concluding the event with a showdown against one of Kansas, UNLV, West Virginia or Auburn.

Later in the schedule, the Gators will host Duke for the annual ACC/SEC challenge on Dec. 1 at the O’Dome, a marquee matchup that pits two perennial powerhouses against each other. The slate also includes reported games against Florida State and Georgia Tech, rounding out a demanding non‑conference slate.

Florida capped the previous season as SEC regular‑season champions, finishing with a 16‑2 record, a performance that adds extra weight to the upcoming schedule and raises expectations for another deep run.
