Missouri Basketball Unveils 2026‑27 Slate
The Southeastern Conference released the complete slate of opponents for the University of Missouri’s men’s basketball team for the 2026‑27 season, confirming a mix of traditional rivals and new challenges. The announcement, made on June 25, outlines every home and away matchup, as well as a series of neutral‑site contests that will take the Tigers across the country.
Missouri will face Arkansas, Oklahoma and Tennessee on both sides of the court, guaranteeing two games apiece in the heart of the SEC. In Columbia, the Tigers are slated to host Alabama, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Texas A&M, turning the Mizzou Arena into a battleground for several of the conference’s top programs.
The non‑conference portion of the schedule includes five neutral‑site games, highlighted by a Nov. 6 meeting with Saint Louis University at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, a Nov. 15 showdown with Marquette in Chicago, and a Border War clash against Kansas on Dec. 6 at the T‑Mobile Center in Kansas City. Additional neutral contests will see the Tigers travel to play Nebraska and Illinois, while a December 1 meeting with Pittsburgh will headline the ACC/SEC Challenge at Mizzou Arena.
The Border War against Kansas, the Braggin’ Rights game against Illinois and a series finale with Howard are all earmarked for Mizzou Arena, while a home game against Evansville is also expected. Dates and television designations for each contest will be released in the coming weeks, giving fans a chance to plan attendance.
Head coach Dennis Gates, now in his second year at the helm, emphasized the importance of the schedule for building momentum and recruiting. ‘We’ve put together a demanding slate that will test our team and showcase our depth,’ Gates said in a statement.
