Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) has unveiled its 2026 women’s field hockey schedule, a 17‑game slate that blends non‑conference road trips with a compact home slate on Harkness Field.
Season Overview
The Engineers will play seven home contests on the Troy campus, beginning with a September 1 showdown against SUNY Geneseo and a September 5 matchup with Hartwick.
Road trips will take the team to Hamilton and Utica in September, before a home game against Russell Sage on September 16.
Non‑conference opponents also include Eastern Connecticut State and DeSales, with a home game against New Paltz sandwiched between them.
Liberty League Debut
Liberty League play opens on October 2 when RPI hosts William Smith at Harkness Field, marking the start of conference competition.
A non‑league contest against VTSU Castleton is slated for October 13, providing another opportunity for the Engineers to fine‑tune before the league schedule intensifies.
Coach Bre Lowe, who has been with the program for three seasons, said the slate reflects a deliberate effort to test the team against a variety of opponents before conference play.
