For the 27th consecutive summer, former NFL running back Kevin Faulk and his brother, former defensive back Trev Faulk, are opening their football camp to the next generation of Louisiana athletes.
The two‑day event, held this weekend, begins on Friday morning at Carencro High School before moving to Lafayette Renaissance on Saturday, each session kicking off at 9 a.m.
Middle school participants will gather at Carencro’s campus, while high school players will convene at Lafayette Renaissance, allowing the brothers to tailor instruction to different age groups.
Emphasizing fundamentals and the finer points of the game, the camp provides hands‑on drills that focus on technique, footwork and decision‑making, giving youngsters a benchmark to measure their progress.
A legacy of mentorship
Kevin Faulk, who spent 13 seasons with the New England Patriots, says the motivation behind the camp is simple: "I want to give these kids more access to quality training than I had growing up."
Beyond skill development, the brothers use the platform to foster confidence and discipline, hoping the experience will resonate long after the final whistle.
