Coach Chris Evans Leads Two‑Day Skills Clinic for Grades 2‑7

Camp Overview

The upcoming summer camp, organized by Western Hills High School, will bring together youngsters from across the region for a focused two‑day experience on the fundamentals of basketball.

Under the direction of head coach Chris Evans, the camp runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 13 and 14 at Western Hills High School, providing a structured environment that blends skill development with fun competition.

Open to boys and girls entering second through seventh grade, the program emphasizes ball handling, shooting, passing, footwork, defensive stance, team concepts and small‑sided games, all designed to build confidence and a lasting passion for basketball.

Participants will work directly with Coach Evans, members of the Western Hills coaching staff and current Wolverines players, receiving personalized instruction and feedback throughout each session.

The curriculum is crafted to progress from basic techniques to more advanced concepts, allowing campers to see measurable improvement in a short time while fostering a supportive community.

In addition to skill work, the schedule includes team‑building activities and contests that reinforce the values of cooperation and fair play.

Registration is handled directly by Coach Evans; interested families can call 606‑312‑4289 or email Chrisevans14@hotmail.com for details on fees, required equipment and any COVID‑related protocols.
