Youth Day Returns to Rynearson Stadium

Eastern Michigan University is set to open its doors to the community on August 8 for its annual Youth Day, a free event designed especially for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

The gathering will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. inside Rynearson Stadium, the home field of the Eagles, where youngsters will be able to try out drills and get up close with members of the 2026 football roster.

Head Coach Chris Creighton, who founded the program in 1997, says the day is about more than just football; it’s an opportunity for area kids to meet the student‑athletes who represent the university on the field.

Registration is required, but once signed up the event is open to the public at no cost, allowing families from across Michigan to experience a slice of campus life.

Beyond the drills, the day also serves as a preview of the upcoming 2026 season, during which fans can purchase season tickets that grant access to all five home games at Rynearson Stadium and include a special ticket to the Motor City MACtion matchup against Central Michigan at Ford Field.

University officials tout these packages as some of the most affordable entertainment options in southeast Michigan, making top‑level college football accessible to a wider audience.
