High School Football America has unveiled its preseason national rankings for the top 300 high school programs, setting the stage for what many expect to be a competitive season across the country.
Florida tops the list with 53 schools represented, while Texas follows closely with 43 entries, a dominance that no other state matches.
Within the Dallas‑Fort Worth metro area, 19 programs crack the national top 300, led by Duncanville at No. 15, underscoring the region’s depth.
Other standout Texas teams include Galena Park North Shore at No. 13, South Oak Cliff at No. 19 and DeSoto at No. 22, each drawing attention for their talent pools.
Among the highlighted recruits, wide receiver Trenton Yancey from Duncanville has committed to Purdue, offensive lineman Brian Swanson from South Oak Cliff pledged to Texas, and quarterback Jayden Williams from South Oak Cliff chose Stephen F. Austin.
Running back SaRod Baker from DeSoto will continue his career at Texas Tech, while Allen’s quarterback Ty Snell, who boasts 35 college offers, is ranked No. 27 nationally.

The commitments of these prospects illustrate a broader trend: top talent is increasingly choosing major programs that align with both athletic and academic goals.
Coaches and analysts alike note that the concentration of talent in Texas and Florida could reshape traditional power balances, especially as these players bring multiple offers to their final decisions.
