West Virginia University’s men’s basketball program has secured a three‑game series with Virginia Tech that will unfold over the next three seasons.
The opening battle is slated for December 5, 2026 at Hope Coliseum in Morgantown, W.Va., marking the first meeting between the programs in more than a decade.
The following year, the Mountaineers will journey to Blacksburg for a contest in 2027, and the series will culminate with a neutral‑site game in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2028.
The rivalry stretches back to 1921, and WVU currently leads the all‑time series 49‑30, having taken nine of the last 13 meetings.
The December 2026 matchup will also be the 80th overall meeting, a milestone that highlights the enduring connection between the two schools.
