Nick Lemieur, a 2026 graduate of Harbor Springs High School, entered the baseball season with a reputation as a promising sophomore, but it was his relentless offseason regimen that turned him into the team’s opening‑day starter and the league’s most feared pitcher.
Offseason Work Pays Off
Over 51.2 innings he logged 10 starts, striking out 63 batters while walking just 11. His 0.94 ERA and a .182 opponent batting average underscored his dominance on the mound, and his arsenal — highlighted by a sharp slider — kept hitters guessing. At the plate he added a .333 average, 26 RBIs, 27 runs scored and 14 stolen bases, proving he could contribute in multiple ways.
The numbers translated into tangible success for the Harbor Springs Baseball Team. The club finished the regular season with a 27‑4 record, captured the Northern Shores title and secured a district championship, a feat many attributed to Lemieux’s leadership and the chemistry he helped foster among the seniors.
Coach Doug Konoske praised Lemieux’s commitment, noting that his focus on strength and stability paid dividends. Looking ahead, the returning core of players and emerging younger talent set the stage for another strong campaign in 2027, with Lemieux poised to continue his ascent and possibly earn a spot at a higher level of competition.
