Abilene Christian Wildcats welcome 10 new student‑athletes for 2026

The signing class blends Texas powerhouses, a Detroit pioneer and international standouts as the program eyes a fresh start in the United Athletic Conference

Abilene Christian University announced the addition of ten student‑athletes to its 2026 soccer roster, a group that represents six different U.S. states and Canada and signals the program’s expanding reach across the country.

A signing class that spans the nation

Addison Briscoe joins the Wildcats after leading Smithson Valley High School to a perfect 29‑0 record and a Texas 5A state championship, earning TASCO First Team All‑State honors and being named MVP of the THSCA Super Elite Team.

MaKayla Galloway makes history as the first female soccer player from Detroit Public Schools to secure a Division I scholarship, an achievement that was recognized with the Spirit of Detroit Award from the city council.

The class also features Audrey Coppinger, who guided St. Teresa's Academy to the Missouri state title game in 2026 and earned First Team All‑State as a junior in 2025; Tavi Decker, the program’s all‑time saves leader at Chapelgate Christian Academy and a 2024 NCSAA First Team All‑American; and McKenzie Glass, who capped her Hillgrove High School career with GACA Second Team All‑State distinction and the team’s MVP award as leading scorer.

International contributors include Milaan Jones, who brings Canadian experience to the squad, and Sophia Saludares, a member of the Philippines U17 Women’s National Team who also played for the national futsal side in 2025. Alice Long, after re‑classifying to the 2026 class, was named First Team All‑District 20‑6A in Texas, while Stella Sa closed her prep career by leading Guyer High School to a 20‑win season and earning Co‑Midfielder of the Year honors in District 5‑6A.

Building on a historic 2025 season that saw the Wildcats reach the Western Athletic Conference semifinals, the new roster aims to compete aggressively in the newly formed United Athletic Conference and continue the program’s upward trajectory.
