Vanderbilt to Host 2027 College Baseball Series in Nashville and Arizona

The Commodores' upcoming tournaments aim to cement Nashville's status as a premier baseball hub

Vanderbilt baseball is set to anchor the 2027 College Baseball Series, with the Commodores hosting a three‑day tournament at Nashville’s First Horizon Park from March 5‑7. The event will bring together Virginia Tech, Ohio State and Cincinnati alongside Vanderbilt, turning the ballpark into a showcase for the sport.

Later in February, the Commodores will travel to Surprise, Arizona, where they will compete in a four‑team tournament at Surprise Stadium from February 19‑21. The Arizona slate includes Nebraska, Oregon State and UC Santa Barbara, offering a contrasting climate and a chance to test the team against a different style of play.

A New Era for Vanderbilt Baseball

Coach Tim Corbin, who has led the program for over a decade, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming schedule, saying the events will help cement Nashville’s reputation as a premier baseball city and provide valuable exposure for the Commodores.

The 2026 season, however, was a stark contrast. Vanderbilt finished with a 33‑25 record but fell short of the postseason, exiting in the second round of the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama. The disappointment underscored the need for a fresh approach as the team looks ahead.

With a blend of seasoned veterans and emerging talent, including players such as Ryker Waite, Jared Curtis, Sedrick Alexander and Harrison Campbell, the Commodores hope to translate the excitement of the upcoming tournaments into on‑field success.
