iHeartMedia has unveiled a sweeping expansion of its audio portfolio with the launch of the iHeart Soccer Podcast Network, a year‑round hub that brings together more than twenty shows in English and Spanish for the ever‑growing community of soccer fans.
A Multiplatform Soccer Hub
The network is designed to be more than a World Cup stop‑gap; it promises daily, weekly and seasonal programming that keeps listeners engaged throughout the calendar, from early‑season club matches to the global tournament.
Shows such as "Learning to Be Human" with Javier Hernández, "Sabor a Fútbol con Daniella Durán", and "Inside American Soccer" with Tab Ramos and Tom Bogert blend analysis, personal storytelling and humor, while upcoming series like "Whatever It Takes" with Carli Lloyd and Jenny Taft promise behind‑the‑scenes access to star athletes.
Fox Sports has partnered with iHeartMedia to stream live audio of every World Cup match through the iHeartRadio app, which reaches over 500 platforms and 2,000 devices, ensuring that fans can tune in whether they are at home, in the car or on the go.
Research from Edison Research underscores the appeal: 55 percent of podcast listeners say they are interested in the World Cup, outpacing the 47 percent of the broader U.S. population, and among avid podcast fans, 22 percent describe themselves as very interested, compared with 15 percent of all Americans.
The network also leverages iHeartMedia’s extensive radio footprint, with coverage airing on Fox Sports Radio stations leading up to the July 19 championship match, creating a seamless bridge between traditional broadcast and on‑demand audio.
