Canada's 3×3 roster ready for Chilean showdown
Edouard Benoit, a junior forward for the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, has been named to Canada Basketball’s 3×3 Nations League roster for the upcoming Americas Conference North stop in Chile. Benoit helped the Mountain Hawks capture their fourth Patriot League championship last season and posted a career‑high 27 points against Colgate in January, averaging 10.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while shooting 39.6% from the field.
A familiar rivalry rekindled
The tournament will run from June 27 to July 3 in Ñuñoa, where Canada will face off against a United States team that includes Benoit’s Lehigh teammate Hank Alvey. The week‑long event features six three‑game stops across the Americas, with teams earning points based on win‑loss records, point differentials and total points scored.
All games will be streamed live on YouTube.com/FIBA3x3, giving fans worldwide access to the fast‑paced 3×3 action. Canada’s participation marks a continuation of its strong presence in the international 3×3 circuit, having previously competed in stops around the globe with Grand Montreal 3×3.
Benoit’s inclusion underscores the growing pipeline of Canadian talent in the sport, while the matchup against Alvey adds a personal storyline to the competition. The points accumulated during the stop will contribute to each team’s overall standing in the 2026 FIBA 3×3 Nations League.
