A New Chapter for the All‑Star Race
NASCAR is set to stage its next All‑Star Race at Dover Motor Speedway in 2026, marking the first time in nearly six decades that the historic half‑mile track will host an exhibition event without a points championship on the line.
The series has completely re‑imagined the format of its signature showcase, building on changes first introduced in 2019. This year’s edition will feature a new qualifying system that orders drivers according to their current season point totals, adding a strategic layer to the traditional fan‑focused spectacle.
The qualifying segment will also include a pit‑stop challenge, testing teams’ speed and precision, and will be opened by Cody Ware, who will lead the order on the track.
Fans can expect a blend of high‑octane competition and pageantry, as the revamped structure aims to reward on‑track performance while preserving the event’s celebratory atmosphere.
With a roster that includes teams such as Hendrick Motorsports, Team Penske and 23XI Racing, the race promises a deep field of talent, featuring drivers from Alex Bowman to Tyler Reddick, all vying for the coveted All‑Star crown.
