Navy head coach Brian Newberry took to the podium on Thursday to unveil the Navy’s 2026 recruiting class, a cohort that brings together 67 promising athletes hailing from 22 different states.
The class reflects a geographic spread that underscores the program’s national reach, with the Mid‑Atlantic and Southern regions providing the bulk of the talent.
Georgia Leads the Pack
Georgia emerges as the top producer, delivering eleven recruits to the roster.
Texas follows with ten prospects, while Florida contributes nine, illustrating the South’s continued emphasis on the program.
Pennsylvania and Virginia each add five prospects, further enriching the talent pool across the Northeast and Mid‑Atlantic.
All recruits will report to the Naval Academy for Induction Day, marking the first step in their journey toward becoming Midshipmen.
A Schedule Packed with Challenge
The 2026 campaign opens on September 5 when the Midshipmen travel to face Towson, setting the tone for a schedule that blends home and away challenges.
Home games will include a showdown with Tulsa on October 10, a clash with North Texas on October 24, a meeting with Temple on November 7, and a rivalry game against Memphis on November 21.
A marquee non‑conference matchup will see Navy take on Notre Dame at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on October 31, offering a national spotlight.
The season will culminate with the traditional Army‑Navy game, scheduled for December 12 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, a contest that draws massive attention each year.
Coach Newberry emphasized that the class not only bolsters depth but also reinforces the academy’s commitment to developing well‑rounded leaders who will serve the nation after graduation.
