Buccaneer Soccer Camp Concludes After Four‑Day Session
The 2026 Buccaneer Soccer Camp in Tennerton wrapped up last week, bringing a concentrated burst of soccer activity to the community.
More than 70 youngsters, ranging from first through eighth grade, took part in the program, which blended technical drills with small‑sided games.
Spanning four consecutive days, the camp offered a compact but intensive curriculum designed to sharpen fundamentals while keeping the atmosphere fun.
Coach Dalton Auvil, who serves as the Buckhannon‑Upshur boys varsity coach, directed the sessions, emphasizing both skill acquisition and sportsmanship.
Participants practiced dribbling, passing and shooting in structured drills before applying those techniques in game‑like scenarios that encouraged teamwork.
Local parents and volunteers praised the organization and energy of the event, noting the positive impact on the kids’ confidence and love of the sport.
With the camp now finished, organizers say they plan to build on this momentum for future editions, aiming to reach even more youth across the region.
