TLH Reckoning, a soccer academy founded by Ashlee Fontes in Tallahassee, is quickly becoming a hub for developing local talent in Florida's capital.
Fontes, a decorated figure in U.S. soccer, brings a wealth of experience from her role as chief operating officer of the NWSL's Washington Spirit and as the first woman of color elected president of United Soccer Coaches.
A Star on the Horizon
The club operates a full‑time academy, runs youth programs through its MLS Go initiative, and fields pre‑professional teams in both the USL‑W and WPSL leagues.
Recent developmental successes include college recruitments for its players and measurable improvements in nearby high school programs.
Next week, the academy will host Crystal Dunn, a World Cup winner, Olympic gold‑medalist, and 2015 NWSL Golden Boot recipient, for the final match of its USL‑W season.
Dunn's visit is expected to inspire young athletes and draw heightened community interest, a goal Fontes hopes will translate into larger crowds and greater sustainability.
Looking ahead, Fontes sees the club benefiting from the momentum of the 2026 men's World Cup and the 2027 women's World Cup, positioning Tallahassee as an emerging soccer destination.
