The Pleasantville high school baseball squad continued its winning streak, completing a doubleheader sweep over Woodward‑Granger on Tuesday. The victories not only added to the team's momentum but also underscored the depth of talent across the roster.
Baseball Dominance
Brody Adreon delivered a strong outing on the mound, striking out seven batters while allowing just one run in the first game. At the plate, JJ Phillips was relentless, collecting a double, a home run and four RBI to help power the offense.
Caylor Jones also shone on the mound, tossing six innings with six strikeouts and no hits allowed in the second game. The combined performances lifted the Pleasantville baseball team to a 24‑1 overall record, a testament to consistent excellence.
Softball Split Decision
The softball team faced a tough first game, dropping a 17‑2 decision, but rallied in the second contest to win 8‑4 in eight innings. Eighth‑grader Emma Rist earned her first start due to injury and made a notable impact, while Harper McGraw contributed three hits and two RBI to the comeback victory.
