The Knoxville Baseball Squad posted an 11‑1 victory over Davis County on Tuesday, a result that bolsters their standing in the South Central Conference and improves their overall record to 15‑6.
Knoxville’s offense was spread across four of the five innings, taking full advantage of three defensive miscues by the Mustang side. Lincoln Norris and Jacob Mitrisin each went 3‑for‑3 at the plate, while Kyler Gifford delivered a strong five‑inning outing, striking out eight batters.
Coach Turner Devore said the team experimented with a variety of tactics, from a long‑lead play to a passed ball, all of which paid dividends. The win lifts the baseball club to 11‑2 in conference play and keeps them in a strong position heading into the weekend.
