Community Outcry Over Coach Renewal
More than a dozen speakers addressed the board, demanding an explanation for the non‑renewal of Alameda High School’s head baseball coach, Kenneth Arnerich, Sr. An online petition that gathered over 1,000 signatures called for Coach Arnerich’s reinstatement, citing his 24‑year dedication to the program. Coach Arnerich argued that he deserved a clear rationale for the decision and suggested that an anonymous complaint may have influenced the board’s choice.
