RPI Unveils 2026‑27 Women’s Ice Hockey Schedule

Thirty‑four games await the Engineers, with 17 at home and a slate of ECAC matchups leading to a Capital District rivalry

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has released its full 2026‑27 women’s ice hockey schedule, a 34‑game slate that blends non‑conference road trips with a heavy home presence at Houston Field House.

The season kicks off with four straight away games, beginning with a two‑game series at Mercyhurst University on September 18 and 19, followed by a weekend in Mankato against Minnesota State Mankato on September 25 and 26.

RPI’s first home test arrives on October 2 when Northeastern University visits, launching a seven‑game homestand that also welcomes Robert Morris University and the University of Maine.

ECAC Showdowns and Rivalry Highlights

ECAC competition opens on October 23 and 24 with a series against Princeton University and Quinnipiac University, and later in the month the Engineers travel to face Colgate University and Cornell University on October 30 and 31.

A long‑awaited rivalry with Union College resurfaces, with a home meeting on November 3 and a road clash on December 1, culminating in the Capital District Mayor’s Cup on January 23.

November brings additional home games against Clarkson University, St. Lawrence University, Syracuse University, Brown University and Yale University, while January sees the team back on the road for weekend series at Quinnipiac, Princeton, Harvard University and Dartmouth College.

The regular season wraps up with six consecutive conference matchups in January and February, setting the stage for a competitive finish.
