The inaugural Cambria County Basketball Coaches Association camp will bring together more than 125 youth athletes from across the county for a three‑day basketball experience from July 6 through July 8 at Forest Hills High School.
Open to boys and girls from kindergarten through sixth grade, the camp features instruction from a roster of coaches and student‑athletes representing schools throughout Cambria County, offering a hands‑on learning environment designed to sharpen skills and foster a love of the game.
A tribute to a coaching legend
Each day includes a complimentary lunch provided by Forest Hills, while the event also serves as a tribute to the late former Forest Hills assistant girls basketball coach Mike Crisafulli, whose legacy continues to inspire the local basketball community.
Organizers say the proceeds from the camp will be directed toward scholarships for local student‑athletes, with the hope that the initiative will grow the sport and create lasting opportunities for future generations.
Although registration for this year’s camp has now closed, donors are still welcome to contribute, helping fund scholarships and future camps that keep the spirit of the game alive in Cambria County.
Mike Crisafulli, remembered for his dedication to youth basketball and his mentorship of countless players, is celebrated at the camp through a special ceremony and a scholarship fund that bears his name.
