USA Hockey Leaders Earn ESPY Nominations Ahead of Live Awards Show

Hilary Knight, Declan Farmer and teammates recognized for Olympic performances in Milan, with fan voting now open

The 2026 ESPY Awards are set to honor outstanding athletic achievements, and USA Hockey’s recent triumphs have placed several of its stars among the nominees.

Espy Nominations Highlight U.S. Hockey Dominance

Hilary Knight, the Team USA captain and the most decorated Olympian in U.S. women’s hockey, has been nominated for the ESPY award for Best Athlete in the Women’s Sports category.

Declan Farmer was also recognized, earning a nod in the Best Athlete with a Disability category.

Megan Keller and Jack Hughes received nominations for Best Play after scoring the decisive goals in the gold‑medal games held in Milan.

Aerin Frankel and Connor Hellebuyck were similarly nominated in the Best Championship Performance category for their key contributions to the U.S. team’s success during the Olympics.

Fan voting is now open, allowing the public to help determine the eventual ESPY winners.

The ESPYS will be broadcast live on July 15 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on ABC and the ESPN App.
