Wake Forest announced the addition of Lukas Bojovic to its 2026‑27 roster, cementing a recruiting win that underscores the program’s growing international reach.
A standout career
Bojovic emerged as one of the most prolific scorers in the Partizan youth system, averaging 22.8 points, 5.6 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game while shooting 36 percent from three‑point range and 76.2 percent from the free‑throw line. His breakout performances earned him a place on the All‑Tournament team at the 2026 Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Belgrade qualifier and recognition as the All‑Serbian Junior League Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and a First‑Team selection.
International exposure
The Slovenian guard will next represent his country at the FIBA U18 EuroBasket tournament in Trento, Italy, where he is expected to face some of Europe’s top junior talent. Eurobasket highlighted Bojovic’s defensive prowess, naming him to the All‑Defensive team for his work on the perimeter.
Linking to Wake Forest
Bojovic is slated to arrive in Winston‑Salem, North Carolina, as a reserve who can back up point guard Kevair Kennedy. Coach Steve Forbes emphasized the player’s versatility, noting that Bojovic can operate both as a primary ball‑handler and as an off‑ball contributor, providing depth and defensive flexibility.
Looking ahead
The coaching staff believes Bojovic’s skill set will translate well to the Atlantic Coast Conference, where his shooting accuracy and playmaking could add a new dimension to the Demon Deacons’ offense. His immediate role will be to offer a reliable spark off the bench while he adjusts to the collegiate game.
