The Williamsburg Academy football program entered spring practice with a clear directive: reinforce the fundamentals that helped the team capture the state championship last year. Head coach Will Furse emphasized that the limited number of sessions was intentional, allowing the squad to focus on technique rather than extensive tactical experimentation.
A late‑season surge by the baseball team trimmed the football spring window to just five practices, a constraint that forced coaches to prioritize high‑impact drills. The roster will see the departure of six seniors, including quarterback/safety Micah Balder and tight end/inside linebacker Jay Kellahan.
