The third annual Tunnels to Towers Hockey Game unfolded this weekend at Flight Adventure Park in Irmo, drawing players and spectators alike for a day of competition and charity.
A Game with a Purpose
Representing the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, the Blue Liners faced off against the Greenville Guardians in a fast‑paced match that showcased both skill and camaraderie, with Corporal Michael Doire leading the Blue Liners as team captain.
All proceeds from ticket sales and donations are funneled directly to the Tunnels to Towers organization, which provides housing and financial assistance to military veterans, the families of fallen first responders, and Gold Star families.
The event underscores how sport can be a powerful vehicle for charitable giving, turning a simple game into a lifeline for those who have served and sacrificed.
