Ahead of the 2026 high school football season, a massive photo shoot has gathered some of East Texas’ most promising talent, with 665 players representing 64 schools coming together for the first edition of The Zone preview magazine.
Two Sessions, Two Venues
The opening session unfolded at Gladewater’s Bill Waters Gymnasium, where 335 athletes from 35 teams posed under the arena’s bright lights. A second session later took place at the C.L. Nix Wildcat Arena, continuing the visual roll‑call of the region’s future stars.
The Zone Magazine
The forthcoming edition will span more than 145 pages, featuring team breakdowns, schedules and player profiles that preview the upcoming campaign.
Set to hit newsstands the weekend of August 22‑23, the glossy magazine will be distributed to subscribers of the Tyler Morning Telegraph and the Longview News‑Journal, giving fans an early look at the season ahead.
